At BITĖ, the QA Engineer plays a key role in validating product functionality, ensuring quality and reducing release risks. This position requires sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to handle both routine and high-pressure projects, including urgent releases and last-minute changes.
Primary Responsibilities
Technical Skills
Test Case Design
Design, maintain, and execute test cases and test scripts based on user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria
Use test management tools like Factory or Excel-based repositories
Defect Tracking
Accurately identify, log, and track bugs in bug tracking systems
Work with development teams to clarify defects and ensure timely resolutions
API Testing
Conduct manual API testing using tools like Postman
Verify endpoints, data structure, and status responses against technical specifications
Basic SQL (Optional)
Execute simple SQL queries to validate data in backend systems
Assist in troubleshooting issues related to data integrity
Soft Skills
Attention to Detail
Spot inconsistencies in UI, logic, and performance across various environments
Analytical Thinking
Break down complex features into testable components and identify potential edge cases
Communication Skills
Communicate clearly and proactively with developers, project managers, and stakeholders
Log reproducible defects with supporting data and actively contribute to Agile ceremonies
Problem-Solving
Troubleshoot issues across layers of the application and suggest efficient workarounds or resolutions
Adaptability to Fast-Paced Projects
Proven ability to manage testing tasks under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
Efficient in high-pressure environments, such as last-minute releases, production hotfixes, and critical business deliveries
Job Requirements
2+ years of experience in manual testing
Experience with Agile development processes and QA lifecycle
Familiarity with the Telco domain is a plus
A team player with a strong focus on software quality and customer satisfaction
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
